Luminate Lily Helmet

White wearable medical head device studio render against a light grey background

Luminate is a healthcare company developing technologies to improve the experience of cancer treatment by creating at-home medical solutions that reduce side effects. Lily is a wearable medical device that helps reduce chemotherapy-induced hair loss through controlled scalp compression, delivered via a discreet, helmet-like structure. Designed by BLOND and engineered by Luminate, Lily responds to one of the most emotionally distressing side effects of cancer treatment—one that research shows can even deter patients from undergoing therapy. BLOND was commissioned to elevate the existing medical device and design its carry case, enhancing user experience, visual appeal, and material sensitivity.
